Meditation – Calming the Soul

My work requires too much of my time that I no longer have enough time for myself. My friends and I used to travel during weekends to relieve the stress that we get from work. That’s not the situation now though. We are now required to work even on Saturdays so we no longer have time to travel. Good thing I discovered the benefits of meditation. I got some zabuton meditation cushions and nice meditation music that I use to meditate every night before I sleep. It’s like meditation calms my soul and prepares it for the next day.

Right now, I don’t know if I can’t survive my my stressful work without meditating at the end of the day.

Yoyo is probably one of the first toys that I had when I was a kid. I loved playing yoyo with my friends and we would show off each other’s tricks. However, modern players of yoyo are simply amazing. They would play unbelievable tricks with their duncan yoyo. When I was a kid, I never imagine that such tricks were possible. Modern yoyo players have definitely leveled up the way how they play yoyo.

How I wish I can also make such tricks. Maybe I’ll try doing them once I get a new yoyo.

A few months ago, a lady offered us to sign up for a privilege card for a few dollars. According to her, it will be worth the money because of the perks and the discounts they give their members. Honestly, I wasn’t really sure about paying for the membership but I still went ahead and paid for the membership. We were given a couple of nice looking membership cards that we can use when we shop.

Last weekend, we decided to buy a new television for our living room. The cashier asked us if we had membership cards so I gave her mine. To my surprise we had $10 taken off our bill! That amounts was already more than what I paid for my membership. I’m glad we did decided to become a member.

This is why it was an interesting experience to have attended the birthday party of my cousin who is in the health industry. There I’ve met people who have nursing, medical technician and Radiologic Technician Jobs. At times they would talk about things that I have absolutely no idea of.

Despite of our differences in our working environment and everyday lives, my cousin and her friends are really easy to get along with.
